Visconti-Sforza Tarot is an ancient deck that was made for the old game of Tarot, also known as Tarocchi or Triumphs. Occultists later adopted the tarot for spiritual purposes such as tarot readings. This deck pre-dates the occult decks by centuries and is one of the oldest surviving decks.
